AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and named one of Illinois’ top attorneys in 2007 by Super Lawyers magazine, Louis A. Varchetto leads the mediation practice. He is a certified mediator and an approved mediator in the Cook County Law and Chancery Divisions Court-Ordered Mediation Programs and was among the first group of arbitrators approved for the Du Page County Arbitration Program. He also completed the prestigious Drake University Law School Mediator Training course.
As an advocate, Mr. Varchetto has litigated a wide variety of civil matters but specializes in complex commercial, insurance coverage, medical malpractice and catastrophic personal injury litigation. He has extensive experience rendering coverage opinions in personal lines insurance policies, as well as in commercial insurance policies, including complex issues of inter-related coverages on construction projects and off-shore manuscript policies such as those issued by members of the Institute of London Underwriters, He also has litigated a significant number of diverse coverage issues. His bar admissions include the United States Supreme Court, the Supreme Courts of Illinois and Missouri, the United States Court of Appeals (7th Circuit), the Federal Trial Bar, and three federal district courts.
Mr. Varchetto is a guest faculty member at the University of Notre Dame Law School, participating in the trial advocacy program.
